What we do
We host relaxed meetups where locals and newcomers can connect through conversation, games, and shared activities. Meetings take place in cozy studios, community rooms, parks, or cafés, always in a friendly, low‑pressure atmosphere.
How it works
Each meetup is different: icebreakers, group games, creative activities, or just talking over coffee. You can join in German or English, whatever is easiest.
Why join?
Because making new connections in Basel isn’t always simple. Basel Circle © makes it (hopefully!) easier. Come alone or with a friend, bring your authentic self, and enjoy genuine encounters that may grow into lasting friendships.
Money Money Money
Basel Circle © is a non profit run entirely by volunteers. Many events are free. We currently receive no donations or public funding and are fully independent.If an event has a small fee, it covers costs only. Should you ever want to contribute, every franc goes back into the association, with one purpose. Less loneliness, more connection in Basel.
About us
We are Sarah, Merit and Cornelius, in our early 30s and working in healthcare. With Basel Circle ©, we want to meet new people, share genuine experiences, and learn more about ourselves and others in a relaxed setting.
Our mission
Basel Circle is run by volunteers and our events often free. That is structural, not a temporary offer. Money and friendship do not mix well, and nobody should weigh up a budget before deciding whether to come.We also take the fun seriously. Our meetups follow a written curriculum based on research into how friendships actually form, which is why there is always an activity and why we care about people coming back rather than passing through.
